Welcome to Queen Mary Public School!

We are pleased to provide an outstanding education at Queen Mary Public School for our students. We are an Intermediate School with Grade 8 classes. We have innovative programs that meet the needs of all our students and are taught by our dedicated and professional staff who care about your child. Our school provides extra-curricular opportunities that encourage the development of excellence, integrity and respect.

Our Board is focused on literacy, numeracy and character achievement by creating an environment where we are working together on our goal of success for every student. We also value the community partnerships and parent involvement which are so crucial to a successful education for our students.

We welcome your input and questions.

Mrs. S. Lawrence

Principal

Regular updates, timelines and frequently asked questions and answers will be communicated
with families on a regular basis during the school year. We look forward to working together on this very exciting plan.

24 Hour Answering Machine

When your student has medical appointments, or is home ill, please call the school 905-682-6637 and report the reason for absence. This helps us account for our students and this process is part of our Safe School Policy.

School Advisory Council/Leadership

School Advisory Council is an excellent and rewarding way to become involved in your child's education. We meet to discuss issues, provide ideas, run events and consult with the Principal about school decisions. If you are interested in serving on Council, please call Mrs. Lawrence at the school 905-682-6637.

Cafeteria

Did you know all Queen Mary students can buy healthy lunches in the Collegiate Cafeteria each day? Thanks to Mrs. Acott and the CI culinary program for the daily fare.

Character Ed

Each month, we will be highlighting our monthly character education focus. At any monthly assembly, students are encouraged to participate and perform. At this assembly, award winners for the previous month's focus and accomplishments are recognized. Character counts at QM.
