1. New Lunch Room Procedure: There will be no more paper plates used in the Cafeteria for lunch. This 'Green' Initiative is a great way for students to promote the 3 R's - Reduce - Reuse - Recycle!
2. Lego Club - There is an important meeting today in Room 126 at lunch with Mr. Thornes.
3. There is Glee Club today at lunch.
4. Anyone interested or already signed up for 'You're the Chef' Club, please meet Mr. Lewandowski in the Commons after school at 2:50 pm
5. Lost & Found - Our Lost & Found Bin is full. These items will be displayed on a table by the trophy case so stop on by and see if you find any of your lost items. Anything left behind will be donated to Community Care.
Queen Mary
We are proud of our students at Queen Mary. Many are rising to the challenge to make this year their best ever by active participation in one or more of our wide variety of clubs, sports and service opportunities. At Queen Mary there is truly something for everyone. Visit our 'Programs/Activities' page for a detailed list of opportunities at Queen Mary.
We are also proud of our students' academic achievements and progress. Literacy and Numeracy continue to be our academic focus. We will be planning, assessing and reporting on student success formally and informally throughout the year.
Please know that the door is always open at Queen Mary. Feel free to contact any one of our staff should you have questions or suggestions.
School Council
School Council is an excellent and rewarding way to become involved in your child's education. We meet to discuss issues, provide ideas, run events and consult with the Principal about school decisions. If you are interested in serving on Council, please call Ms. Lockyer at the school. If you just want to attend a meeting to see what we're all about, call the school to find our the date and time of our next meeting.
Queen Mary Instrumental Music Program
Students at Queen Mary continue to enjoy the opportunity to study Instrumental music with Mr. Ley and Mr. Fralick in the St. Catharines Collegiate music room. The link below shows Ms. Crichton's 8-1 class hard at work on their latest collaboration.
